Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang

Arrive at Luang Prabang International Airport after your flight from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Upon arrival, complete the visa-on-arrival process at immigration, collect your baggage, and take a 20-minute drive to My Lao Home Hotel. After check-in, join an orientation session where we’ll provide an introduction to the local culture and customs in Laos. In the evening, explore the vibrant Luang Prabang Night Market.

Day 2: Explore Luang Prabang Ancient City and Kayaking on the Namkhan River

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel before heading out for a half-day city tour. Visit the Former Royal Palace, Wat Xiengthong, and the Bombs Museum, which displays historical information about the Vietnam War. After touring these sites, enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant.

In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour kayaking adventure along the Namkhan River. Our guide will provide safety instructions to ensure your comfort and security on the river. Kayak past farming areas and enjoy scenic views as you head towards Tad Sae Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing swim. Continue kayaking through the river’s rapids until you reach Ban Xieng Lom Village, where you’ll disembark and drive back to Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Visit Nong Luang Village and Mountain Biking

After breakfast at the hotel, take a private minivan ride to pick up your mountain bikes for a half-day ride out of the city. The ride will be a mix of paved and dirt roads, offering both adventure and exercise. Once you arrive in Nong Luang Village, participate in a donation ceremony, offering school supplies to local students. This gesture is a meaningful way to support the villagers, whose limited income makes it difficult to access essential resources.

Engage with the local community by organizing games for children and sharing a friendly lunch with them at the village school canteen. After spending the day in this remote area, return to Luang Prabang by private minivan.

Day 4: 300 Monks Morning Alms, Trekking, and Waterfall

Wake up early at 5:00 am and gather in the lobby for an opportunity to offer alms to 300 monks as part of the local Buddhist tradition. Afterward, take a stroll through the morning market next to the Former Royal Palace, where you’ll find local vendors selling fresh produce, meats, and live aquatic animals.

After breakfast, meet at the lobby to embark on a trek to a waterfall. The drive to Long Lao Village takes about an hour, and the trek from there is approximately 8.5 km (about 2.5 hours) through beautiful natural surroundings. Upon reaching the waterfall, enjoy a picnic lunch by the falls and take in the serenity of the protected national park. After lunch, visit the Asian Black Bear Rescue Center and explore the nearby crystal mineral pools. You’ll have time to relax and swim before returning to Luang Prabang.

Afterward, you can choose to either relax at your hotel or explore the night market for your final evening in Luang Prabang.

Day 5: Visit Pottery Village and Departure

On your last day in Luang Prabang, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for a visit to Ban Chan Village, located across the Mekong River. Here, you can observe the traditional pottery-making process that provides the primary income for local families. After this visit, return to your hotel to rest before your departure.

In the afternoon, depart from Luang Prabang and fly back to Bangkok.
